Fridge gas burner assembly, at the rear, containing the gas nozzle

Yunkers Fridge gas burner assembly, at the rear, containing the gas nozzle.

Due to the condition of the gas burner assembly, seen above, it is intended to replace the whole assembly. To ensure an efficient burn. The air hole for the gas nozzle has rusted with possible rust particles hindering the gas flame. Also the 'Pipe' bowl looks as if it will collapse soon.

For those who will replace this item. It is important to ensure the Copper pipe Temperature control and the white Peizo Igniter are positioned correctly inside the 'Pipe' bowl. Place in the same position as the original.

The gas pipe nut must be turned with a correct size spanner, and the burner held with another correct sized spanner, then eased slowly. This will ensure it does not crack!

The burner securing screw to the chimney is also the earth path for the sparker. As this is corroded then it will reduce the spark and cause lighting the flame problems. In the end, for me, it would not light at all.
